The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) is excited to announce that its North American engagement team  and the Internet Society (ISOC) are organizing a webinar on two global initiatives designed to help make the Domain Name System (DNS) more secure.

The webinar is scheduled for 6 September 2023 at 2 PM UTC (7 AM PST). Please register for the event and join our efforts in making the Internet safer.

The webinar will provide a brief overview on the ISOC’s initiative, called Mutually Agreed Norms for Routing Security (MANRS) and ICANN’s initiative called, the Knowledge-sharing and Instantiating Norms for DNS and Naming Security (KINDNS). MANRS focuses on Internet security and reducing common routing threats and KINDNS focuses community efforts on implementing the most important operational best practices of DNS security.

Experts Afrab Siddiqui, a Senior Internet Technology Manager at ISOC, and David Huberman, a Regional Technical Engagement Manager at ICANN, will explain the two initiatives, share success stories about participants in those initiatives, and explain how the community can get involved in them.
